Solution Architect

About the Role:
 

We are looking for a Solution Architect to join our team on a part-time, consulting basis. The role involves helping define and improve the architecture of an existing project that is part of a broader tax-related ecosystem.

The backend is built with Python, but specific language expertise is not critical - we’re looking for strong architectural thinking and system design experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the current system architecture and suggest improvements
• Guide technical direction and architectural decisions
• Support the development team through consultation and architecture reviews
• Recommend tools, design patterns, and integration strategies
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the system

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, system design, and API integration
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and backend-heavy applications
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and system security from an architectural perspective
