AI/ML Engineer (short term)

We are seeking an experienced and driven Machine Learning Engineer  to join an international team building a next-generation AI-native cybersecurity platform. The ideal candidate is passionate about machine learning and software engineering, capable of designing scalable ML pipelines and deploying real-time intelligent systems in production environments.

About project: 
Join the development of a cloud-native XDR platform that redefines threat detection and response. The system processes real-time sensor data via a scalable streaming stack using technologies like ClickHouse, Redpanda, Vector, Airflow, and Qdrant. It enables fast experimentation, semantic retrieval, and hybrid search with embedded LLMs—offering a dynamic space at the crossroads of cybersecurity, machine learning, and modern MLOps.

Your area of responsibility: 
- Designing and maintaining ML pipelines for anomaly detection, clustering, and classification;
- Developing and fine-tuning models like Isolation Forest and Latent Mixture Models;
- Leveraging Python ML libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, pyod) for preprocessing and evaluation;
- Integrating vector search and RAG systems with llama_index and vector databases (Qdrant, FAISS, Pinecone);
- Collaborating with MLOps engineers on deploying and monitoring models;
- Processing large CSV datasets in distributed environments;
- Participating in code reviews and design discussions to ensure robustness and maintainability.

Skills and requirements:
- Strong Python skills with hands-on experience in scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, and pyod;
- Skilled in unsupervised learning and anomaly detection;
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and feature engineering from packet and flow data;
- Experience with LLM augmentation tools and vector databases (e.g., llama_index, Qdrant, FAISS, Pinecone);
- Familiar with deploying ML models in containerized/cloud environments (Kubernetes a plus);
- Solid grasp of software engineering best practices: version control, testing, modular design, documentation;
- Background in distributed systems and cloud-based deployments.
 

Will be a plus:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and MLOps tools;
- Knowledge of orchestration frameworks like Apache Airflow;
- Familiarity with data versioning and large-scale data processing frameworks;
- Prior experience in contractor or remote roles.
