System Engineer with Kubernetes (Krakow) Offline
Currently we are looking for a System Engineer with Kubernetes for our Krakow office to make the team even stronger.
As a Kubernetes Engineer focused on open-source support, you'll enable growth of the latest and most popular cloud-oriented technologies by using your excellent technical and customer service skills.
ABOUT PROJECT
Click-to-Deploy (C2D) solutions are published on GCP. Work for one of the largest global search engine and cloud providers. The customers team in Warsaw is highly specialized on Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes. World class work environment provided. Great opportunity to learn big range of opensource technologies on the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and take over ~70 solutions that are published within GCP Cloud Marketplace
Maintain Kubernetes-based Applications (can be learned on the job)
Maintain VM-based Applications
Maintain Container-based Applications
Update opensource software solutions within the three mentioned setups above
Update containers to the latest version
Fix minor issues reported by users for published solutions
If capacity allows, suggest and add new features to existing solutions
Troubleshoot issues connecting to a database
REQUIREMENTS
DevOps/Sysadmin experience
Strong Unix/Linux experience
Basic computer network knowledge
Troubleshooting TCP/IP stack miss configuration
Troubleshooting firewall mis-configuration, etc
Basic scripting or programming skills in Python and Bash
NICE TO HAVE
Basic Kubernetes knowledge
GKE - Google Kubernetes Engine knowledge
Architecture understanding (Knows how to build applications for Cloud - scalability, knows Infrastructure as a Service principles, etc.)
Any Google Cloud Certification (E.g. GCP Architect or Data Engineer)
Jenkins knowledge and/or automation knowledge of any form (e.g. Continues integration)
Specific knowledge of Cent OS or Debian
