We are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join a dedicated design team focused on building a unified experience for a suite of powerful data viewers (2D, 3D, GIS).
Our client is a global leader in digital solutions for the energy sector, delivering an advanced software platform that supports the entire Oil & Gas lifecycle — from geological exploration to production optimization. The product helps geologists and geophysicists visualize, analyze, and interpret vast volumes of geological data.
You will collaborate closely with the customer team based in Houston to deliver consistent, user-centered design solutions across complex engineering applications.
Responsibilities:
• Simplify and structure complex technical processes into user-friendly designs for engineering teams.
• Systematically initiate and lead user research activities, including stakeholder interviews, user interviews, and usability testing. Iteratively improve existing workflows based on research findings.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and subject-matter experts to gather requirements and manage expectations. Communicate design solutions through user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
• Conduct UX audits and heuristic evaluations to identify usability gaps and opportunities for improvement in current UX solutions.
• Contribute to and follow the Design System by aligning new features and UI patterns with established standards.
Mandatory Skills Description:
• 3+ years of experience designing complex web-based applications or enterprise-level user interfaces.
• Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and scalable UI patterns for web applications.
• Proven ability to structure information and design effective interfaces for data-heavy, technical environments.
• Experience planning and conducting user research and usability testing with real users, with a strong focus on usability evaluation and iteration.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Figma, including the use of components, auto-layout, and variables; familiarity with design systems and token-based design approaches.
• Self-driven and organized, with the ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality work in cross-functional team settings.
