Middle+ WordPress (PHP) Engineer Offline

We are looking for a Middle WordPress (PHP) Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in WordPress development, custom themes, and plugin creation, as well as experience integrating WordPress with modern front-end frameworks.

Technical Skills:

• 3+ years of experience with WordPress (PHP):

• Developing custom themes from scratch.

• Creating and maintaining custom plugins.

• Working with ACF, Custom Post Types, WP_Query, and REST API.

• Deep understanding of WordPress hooks: actions, filters.

• 1+ years of experience with AstroJS:

• Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and static site generation.

• Integration with WordPress via REST API or GraphQL.

• Working with .astro components and React/Vue/Svelte when needed.

• Strong understanding and implementation of OOP and MVC architecture in WordPress.

• Proficiency in HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).

• Experience with Git and GitLab CI/CD:

• Setting up automated builds and deployments.

• Managing environments, variables, and secrets.

• Experience working with Linux servers:

• Configuring LAMP/LEMP stacks.

• Managing servers via SSH and CLI (rsync, cron, systemctl).

• Setting up HTTPS, redirects, and caching.

• Website performance optimization:

• Lazy loading, minification, WebP image optimization.

• Analyzing and improving performance using Lighthouse, GTmetrix, PageSpeed.

• Database management (MySQL):

• Query optimization and indexing.

• Working with CLI or phpMyAdmin.

Soft Skills:

• Ability to read, understand, and maintain existing codebases.
• Strong analytical skills for implementing business logic.
• Experience in both team collaboration (Pull Requests, Code Reviews) and independent work.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to solve problems efficiently and estimate task complexity.
