Senior PHP Developer Offline

We are looking for an experienced Senior Back-end PHP (Laravel) developer with 5+ years of experience to join our fast-growing startup from Ireland.

Requirements

Must have

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development 
• Strong expertise in PHP and the Laravel framework
• Strong grasp of Laravel fundamentals (Eloquent ORM, Middleware, Service Providers)
• Proficient in RESTful API development and integration
• Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL)
• Knowledge of migrations, seeders, and schema design
• Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, and token-based auth
• Proficient with Git (feature branching, pull requests)
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines or GitLab C
• Writing unit, feature, and integration tests

Will be a plus

Understanding of KYC and AML concepts

Together with your team, you will be responsible for: 

• Taking technical ownership of our web application built with Laravel
• Leading the maintenance, extension, and optimization of the platform, ensuring it remains scalable, secure, and user-friendly
• Using best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation 
• Ensuring the platform is secure, and performant. 
• Participating in system planning, code reviews, and feature delivery from concept to release
