Your Role 

As a Tech Lead, you’ll take ownership of projects from the prototype phase, through MVP, to full-scale production. You’ll work directly with North American clients, guiding them through technical decisions and building apps that matter.

• 60% – hands-on coding (Node.js, React/Next.js, TypeScript)
• 20% – mentoring and leading a dev team (3–6 people)
• 20% – collaborating with clients, PMs, and designers to shape product direction

Work directly with founders and product teams in the US and Canada. Domains include:

• Fintech apps with custom dashboards and APIs
• EdTech platforms built for scale
• E-commerce backends and recommendation engines
• GenAI-enabled chat and support solutions
• Legacy modernizations (Node.js replacing .NET stacks)

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of web products from concept to scalable systems
• Build and maintain backend services (Node.js, PostgreSQL) and frontend apps (React/Next.js)
• Guide clients through tech strategy, architecture, and delivery
• Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability
• Mentor mid-level/junior developers and lead by example
• Work closely on projects involving AI-assisted tools, Insurtech, Martech, EdTech, E-commerce, Real Estate, and many other exciting ventures to come

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js + React)
• A proven track record of delivering MVPs or early-stage products
• Excellent communication in English (B2+), especially with US/CA stakeholders
• Leadership qualities – even informal mentoring counts
• Strong understanding of software architecture and product thinking

Will be a plus

• Basic knowledge of Generative AI APIs (OpenAI, LangChain, embeddings, vector DBs)
• Experience with ASP.NET (C#) – useful in hybrid/legacy environments
• Experience in startups or client-facing dev roles
• Familiarity with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Docker, and cloud services (AWS/GCP)
