Senior Edge AI Engineer – Wearables · ESP32 · Edge Impulse · Energy Optimization to $5000

We are seeking a Senior Edge AI Engineer to help develop intelligent, ultra-low-power wearable devices. This part-time, remote role focuses on building and deploying AI models on microcontrollers like ESP32, with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency and real-time performance. This role will collaborate with our firmware and hardware teams to integrate models directly onto microcontrollers.

Responsibilities:

• Build and train lightweight ML models using Edge Impulse or similar tools
• Deploy and optimize models for low-power MCUs (e.g., ESP32)
• Integrate AI into embedded firmware and collaborate with firmware/hardware teams
• Optimize for power consumption, latency, and memory footprint
• Support real-world testing, tuning, and model updates

Requirements:

• 3+ years in Edge AI / TinyML, with delivered projects
• Hands-on with ESP32 or similar boards
• Experience with Edge Impulse, or similar
• Proficient in C/C++, Python
• Strong grasp of power management and low-energy design
• Wearables, BLE, OTA, sensor fusion experience
• Familiarity with power profiling tools and techniques
• Remote collaboration experience

Work Details:

• Part-time (15–20 hrs/week) or task based
• Remote, ideally in CET ±1–2h
• Good command of English
