Product Manager Offline
OTAKOYI is seeking a talented and driven Product Manager to lead the
development and continuous improvement of our Client's Content Management System (CMS) page builder and CMS output. The Product manager will be responsible for translating user needs into product features, prioritizing a clear roadmap, and ensuring successful execution within an
Agile environment.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in product management,
excellent communication skills in English, and thrives in collaborative
settings using tools like JIRA, Monday.com, Confluence, and Figma.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, ideally with a focus
on CMS or web content platforms. - Proven experience working in Agile environments (Scrum).
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills –
ability to articulate complex ideas simply and effectively. - Solid understanding of CMS principles, web technologies, and
website production lifecycles. - Ability to analyse data, user behaviour, and market trends to drive
product decisions. - Experience creating wireframes, product requirements and user
flows. - Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and problem-solving mindset
Preferred Skills
- Strong proficiency in JIRA, Monday.com, Confluence, Figma,
and Microsoft Office. - Experience managing CMS products that support multi-language or
multi-site capabilities. - Familiarity with SEO, analytics integration, and web performance
optimization. - Experience working with API-driven CMS platforms or headless
CMS architectures (EAV). - Background in UX/UI principles to collaborate more effectively with
design teams. - Solid grasp of core web technologies such as HTML, CSS,
JavaScript, APIs, and modern web frameworks (e.g., React,
Angular, Vue.js). - Familiarity with backend systems, RESTful APIs, databases, and
server-side technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP) to effectively
collaborate with development teams. - Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear
product requirements and user stories. - Proficiency in working with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google
Analytics, Hotjar) to interpret data, define KPIs, and drive data-
informed product decisions. - Understanding of A/B testing, user behaviour analysis, and
conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques. - Knowledge of SEO best practices, including site structure, metadata optimization, mobile optimization, and Core Web Vitals.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the product vision and roadmap for the page
builder and CMS output. - Gather and prioritize customer and internal requirements.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and
prototypes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design,
development, QA, and marketing. - Write clear and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog and plan Agile sprints.
- Conduct competitive analysis and user research to inform product
decisions. - Gather feedback and iterate rapidly.
- Ensure product quality and user satisfaction by coordinating with
QA teams. - Champion best practices in CMS development to ensure scalability,
usability, and performance. - Serve as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and the development team.
