Backend Developer (PHP) – VPN Platform to $2000

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer (PHP) with strong networking knowledge to join our team and work specifically on building and scaling our VPN services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the backend infrastructure for the VPN platform.
• Build secure APIs for account management, subscription handling, device authentication, and session tracking.
• Set up and manage VPN server networks, including authentication servers, user management, and load balancing (preferably OpenVPN or WireGuard).
• Implement backend systems for server selection, connection tracking, IP management, and multi-region support.
• Integrate payment gateways and subscription systems (Stripe, crypto payments).
• Optimize database structures and backend logic for performance and scalability.
• Ensure all systems are secure, scalable, and well-documented.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps, and product managers.

Requirements:

• Strong PHP backend development skills (Laravel or custom frameworks).
• Solid understanding of VPN protocols (OpenVPN, WireGuard) and network setups.
• Experience setting up VPN server infrastructures (authentication, key management, failover systems).
• Good knowledge of Linux servers, bash scripting, and cloud networking.
• Familiarity with secure authentication systems (OAuth, JWT).
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong English communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with multi-protocol VPNs (IKEv2, L2TP/IPSec).
• Experience setting up monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus) for VPN server health.
• Familiarity with Dockerized deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
