Web Accessibility Expert

We are developing a domain-specific Large Language Model (LLM) with expert-level understanding of frontend development and web accessibility (WCAG, ARIA, etc.).

We are looking for a Web Accessibility Expert who can create training content for the AI in the form of structured prompt-response pairs, code examples, explanations, and annotation guidelines.

This is not a traditional engineering role. You will act as a subject matter expert and content creator, shaping how the LLM understands accessibility, UX, and inclusive interface design.

Responsibilities

  • Writing short and long-form answers with code examples simulating expert responses for the LLM;
  • Creating examples of accessible and inaccessible UI components with explanations of user impact;
  • Defining edge cases, common pitfalls, and best practices for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA;
  • Collaborating with engineering and QA teams to align content with LLM goals;
  • Designing synthetic tasks such as accessibility audits, design reviews, and bug analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years in frontend development with a strong focus on web accessibility (WCAG 2.1+, ARIA, assistive tech support) — mandatory;
  • Strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly (to junior developers or AI models);
  • Proven experience building accessible UI components using vanilla JavaScript;
  • Proficiency with tools such as axe-core, Lighthouse, NVDA, VoiceOver;
  • Advanced English proficiency (both spoken and written) — for effective communication with the English-speaking team and for writing clear, technical content;
  • Fluency in Ukrainian or Russian — for internal communication with the team.

Nice to Have

  • Experience writing training materials, technical documentation, or blog posts;
  • Experience with Angular, React, Vue, or similar frameworks;
  • Background in AI/ML, prompt engineering, or data annotation;
  • Understanding of LLM architecture and what defines a high-quality dataset;
  • Knowledge of mobile accessibility best practices.

    Why Join Us

  • The opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project at the intersection of AI and accessibility;
  • A real impact on how future AI systems understand inclusive design
  • Fully remote work;
  • Competitive compensation (based on experience) with potential for contract extension;
  • Flexible schedule and a supportive, open-minded team.
