Shopify + AI Automation Engineer

Core Requirements:
Shopify Development:
- Solid experience with Shopify Liquid, custom theme development, and checkout logic
- Proficiency with JavaScript and CSS for frontend enhancements
- English level - B2+

Workflow Automation & Integration:
- Strong hands-on experience with n8n or similar low-code tools
- Ability to prototype visually in n8n, and later refactor into Python for scalability
- Experience integrating APIs, handling webhooks, and connecting microservices

AI Integration & Context Handling:
- Experience working with ChatGPT, Claude, OpenAI API, or similar LLMs
- Familiarity with LangChain, OpenAI Agent SDK, or a willingness to learn quickly
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, agent logic, and multi-turn interaction
design
- Deep experience with data chunking, structuring, and validating inputs for AI
- Comfort working with model context protocols (MCP) — maintaining and evolving
context state across interactions

Architecture & Strategic Thinking:
- Able to assess different implementation paths and guide the team toward optimal
choices
- Understands eCommerce workflows and automation opportunities
- Confident in designing structured, context-rich data flows for AI-enabled pipelines
- Able to balance between low-code tools and robust backend development

Collaboration & Ownership
- Works directly with the client’s technical and product teams
- Participates in planning, estimation, and delivery cycles
- Raises blockers early, provides alternatives, and drives progress autonomously

Preferred Background:
- Custom Shopify app or plugin experience
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
- eCommerce conversion optimization and customer data automation
- Python scripting for data handling and backend orchestration
