We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Director of Engineering to join our team in Lviv!
About the Role:
We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the development of our core casino product and oversee multiple teams responsible for other casino-related products. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and experience managing high-load, big data architectures. As Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for people management, process establishment, and technical oversight, ensuring the teams deliver scalable, high-quality solutions while following best practices in software development. You will report directly to the CTO and collaborate closely with Product and Operations teams to ensure efficient execution of company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & People Management: Lead Team Leaders of multiple engineering teams, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development support.
- Assist in setting goals, KPIs, and performance metrics for teams and individuals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
- Resolve conflicts and promote collaboration across teams. Engineering & Architecture.
- Collaborate with Architect and CTO to define the architecture of services and resolve architectural challenges.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of systems handling big data and high-load traffic.
- Provide technical guidance to teams, helping them adopt best engineering practices and modern technologies.
- Investigate production incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and implementation of preventive measures.
- Process & Execution: Establish, improve, and enforce Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Work closely with Product and Operations teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
- Collaborate with teams to provide realistic estimates and ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines.
- Monitor project progress and remove blockers to ensure seamless execution.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in senior engineering leadership roles, managing multiple teams.
- Strong experience in people management, including setting goals, performance reviews, and mentorship.
- Extensive technical background, including experience with high-load architectures and big data systems.
- Deep understanding of software architecture principles and ability to resolve architectural challenges.
- Experience establishing and optimizing SDLC processes to drive engineering efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate incidents and implement preventive solutions.
- Excellent conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher), both spoken and written.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the iGaming or Casino industry.
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and microservices.
