Job Brief

The ideal Senior Compliance Officer is a strategic, detail-oriented professional with over 5 years of compliance experience in the crypto, FinTech, or blockchain sectors. They excel in navigating complex international regulatory landscapes, ensuring the company adheres to laws and standards across multiple jurisdictions. With deep expertise in AML/CFT, sanctions screening, and emerging regulations, they will lead the global compliance framework, support licensing efforts, and drive regulatory excellence in a dynamic, remote-based team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and enhance the company’s global compliance framework, ensuring alignment with international laws and industry standards.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory changes (e.g., MiCA, Travel Rule, BSA/FinCEN) and implement corresponding internal policies.
• Oversee compliance for international licensing and regulatory engagements, including VASP registrations.
• Provide expertise on crypto-specific compliance areas such as AML/CFT, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring.
• Conduct risk assessments, support internal audits, and lead responses to regulatory inquiries.
• Collaborate with legal, operations, and product teams to integrate compliance into business processes.
• Design and deliver compliance training tailored to various departments and regions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of compliance or risk management experience, with a focus on crypto, FinTech, or blockchain industries.
• Proven ability to manage compliance across international jurisdictions.
• Deep knowledge of AML/CFT, sanctions compliance, data protection, and emerging regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with risk assessments and audits.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Familiarity with EU, U.S., or MENA regulatory environments is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
