In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing scalable, secure, and optimized data solutions that align with business objectives. Your leadership in data architecture will ensure that our data environment supports robust analytics, data-driven decision-making, and continual innovation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the overarching data architecture strategy, ensuring scalable and efficient data pipelines leveraging Snowflake and Python.
  • Establish best practices for data modeling, schema design, and data retention that support long-term organizational goals.
  • Lead the design and optimization of Snowflake data warehouses, including performance tuning, partitioning, clustering, and security.
  • Define standards for data sharing and integration within the Snowflake ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand enterprise data requirements and translate them into a cohesive architectural roadmap.
  • Provide technical guidance and strategic direction for data initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee the architecture for ingesting, transforming, and integrating structured and unstructured data from various sources (cloud/on-premises).

  • Champion best practices for data privacy, quality, and lifecycle management across the organization.
  • Establish architectural guidelines for workflow management and automation using tools like Apache Airflow or dbt.
  • Ensure reliable, maintainable, and well-documented data processes, including version control and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design frameworks to proactively monitor data pipelines, system performance, and data quality.
  • Provide guidance in diagnosing and resolving high-level performance bottlenecks or data issues.
  • Document architectural decisions, data flows, and system components to maintain clarity and continuity.
  • Mentor data engineers and other stakeholders, promoting awareness of architectural principles and best practices.

  • Experience: 5+ years in data-related roles and 1+ year of Architect experience, with proven expertise in Snowflake and Python.
  • Technical Mastery

    - Snowflake: Advanced knowledge of data modeling, schema design, query optimization, partitioning, and governance.

     - Python: Proficiency in scripting, automation, and ETL/ELT frameworks.

     - Cloud Platforms: Experience architecting solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including relevant data services.

     - SQL & DBs: Strong SQL skills and familiarity with other DB technologies; ability to craft efficient queries and stored procedures.

     - Orchestration: Familiarity with tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar.

     - Governance & Compliance: Understanding of data security, privacy regulations, and governance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

Preferred skills:

  • Machine Learning: Exposure to ML workflows and integrating ML capabilities within data pipelines.
  • API Integration: Familiarity with designing APIs for data exchange across systems.
  • BI Tools: Experience with Power BI, Tableau, AWS QuickSight, or Looker.
  • Certifications: Snowflake, AWS Certified Data Analytics, or related cloud certifications.

Soft Skills:

  • Strategic Mindset: Capable of mapping technical solutions to evolving business needs.
  • Proactive & Innovative: Always seeking opportunities to enhance data architecture and champion best practices.
  • Collaboration: Skilled in bringing different teams together, mediating technical trade-offs, and aligning on a unified data vision.
  • Excellent communication, able to convey complex data concepts to business and technical stakeholders.

Why joining us?

  • An opportunity to shape our enterprise data architecture from the ground up.
