Middle Windows Presentation Foundation Developer to $2500

Description of the project:

We are looking for a skilled Windows Presentation Foundation Developer to join our team and take ownership of a large legacy project. This role involves not only maintaining and supporting the existing system but also actively developing new features. The project does not have a fixed scope, and tasks will include both functionality improvements and support-related work.

Responsibilities:

• Write clean, high-quality, and high-performance code
• Develop and maintain existing software, including implementing new features and enhancements
• Fix bugs and perform code refactoring to improve system stability and performance
• Document code and maintain technical documentation
• Gradually take ownership of the codebase and contribute to system optimization
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, QA engineers, and PMs to define and refine project goals
• Actively participate in technical discussions and contribute ideas and solutions

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in WPF development
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with .NET 8 and relevant libraries (Entity Framework), WebAPI (ASP.NET Core)
• Experience working with legacy codebases, Enterprise class solutions and ability to refactor them
• Knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns
• Ability to work on both feature development and support tasks
• Strong analytical skills and ability to dive deep into complex systems

Nice to have:

• Understanding of multi-threading and asynchronous programming
• Experience with Angular (2+ years) will be considered a strong advantage
• Experience working in long-term projects with evolving requirements
