You’ll join an Agile, international team distributed across locations, with our headquarters in Bonn, Germany. We own the full product lifecycle — from discovery and implementation to release and operation — so your work will be visible, impactful, and close to real customer needs. 

What you`ll do: 

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Windows-based desktop applications using .Net. 
• Maintain and develop DLLs written in C++. 
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for development and QA processes. 
• Act as a liaison between the customer and the development team, collecting and synthesizing feedback into actionable tasks. 
• Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and support, to deliver successful projects. 
• Identify potential risks and issues within the project and propose mitigation strategies.

What you bring: 

• Proven experience in Windows .Net Desktop application development. 
• Familiarity with System.Reactive and its extensions for reactive programming. 
• Experience with System.Security.Cryptography for cryptographic operations. 
• Basics knowledge of C++ and DLL development. 
• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
• Advanced Business English language knowledge. 
• Good analytical skills, oriented on continuous process improvement.

• 3+ years of professional development experience (we mostly use C#).
• Understanding of Windows OS Internals (Processes/Threads, Memory Management, File Systems, and Registry).
• Proven track record in debugging complex systems. You should be comfortable navigating unfamiliar codebases to find the source of a leak or a crash.
• Problem-Solving: The ability to stay calm under pressure during remote customer sessions and provide a clear path to resolution.
• An Advantage: Experience with Kernel-mode development (drivers), network protocols, or cybersecurity threat prevention.

• At least an upper-intermediate level of English. You must be able to explain complex technical issues to both IT managers and fellow developers.

   

Your day-to-day in this position

• Live Investigation: Lead remote technical sessions with customers to investigate complex software malfunctions, performance bottlenecks, and security gaps in real-time.
• Advanced Debugging: perform root-cause analysis on Windows-based endpoint systems.
• Code Resolution: Design and implement code fixes (C#) or features to enhance product stability and meet specific customer requirements.
• Sustaining Engineering: Own the entire lifecycle of a fix, from reproducing the bug to final deployment at the customer site.

• Technical Advocacy: influence the core product roadmap based on recurring issues and customer feedback.

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced C# Software Developer with strong expertise in WPF to join our Kyiv office and become a part of a well-established cross-country engineering team. We embrace a strong engineering culture, a high degree of autonomy, and close collaboration with colleagues in Copenhagen, Ukraine, and throughout Europe.
 

As part of the Unite Patient Workflows team, you will develop both the frontend (WPF) and backend components of 3Shape Unite, including integrations with cloud services and 3rd‑party partner solutions. The project addresses critical technical and business challenges across various system domains, including:

• Designing and managing data flow between desktop and web applications within the 3Shape ecosystem
• Bringing multiple 3D modules into a unified framework with consistent UI and workflows
• Providing users with seamless access to labs, apps, and partner integrations through a coherent interface

Areas of responsibility:

You will be working on a modern desktop application using the latest C# features, NET 10, and WPF, and participating in transitioning to the web-based components:

• Design, develop, test and maintain a desktop application for dentistry
• Drive high code quality through reviews, refactoring, code metrics, and engineering best practices
• Ensure maintainability and long‑term scalability of the application
• Implement and maintain automated tests to secure product reliability
• Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and other engineers in an agile environment
• Demo completed work, share challenges, and contribute to the team discussions
• Participate in retrospectives and propose initiatives to improve team processes

To succeed in your role, you should possess the following skills and competencies:

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development
• Strong C# and modern .NET (6-10) experience (Windows Desktop)
• Solid understanding of WPF: XAML, data binding, styles/resource dictionaries, control templating, and troubleshooting
• MVVM done right: no/minimal code-behind, and clean separation of concerns
• Persistence and ability to deliver results despite obstacles
• A pragmatic mindset with a strong sense of ownership
