Fractional CTO (AI/Blockchain) Offline

We are looking for a skilled CTO to oversee the development of a cutting-edge blockchain-based platform that leverages decentralized GPU computing, AI models, and intelligent agents to create a scalable and transparent environment for AI model training and execution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in system architecture or technical leadership roles
• Extensive expertise in blockchain development
• Strong proficiency in Go and a basic understanding of Rust
• Hands-on experience in blockchain protocol design and smart contract architecture
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, P2P networking, and consensus mechanisms
• Understanding of on-chain/off-chain compute integration principles
• Familiarity with the AI model lifecycle and runtime environments (e.g., ONNX, PyTorch, and Dockerized execution)
• English: Advanced

Would Be A Plus

• Understanding of cryptographic primitives used in zero-knowledge proofs or TEEs
• Ability to assess performance trade-offs and security implications of different architectural choices
• Experience in early-stage product development
• Familiarity with the Cosmos SDK and Tendermint-based networks
• Experience with generative AI models (e.g., LLMs, diffusion models, RLHF)
• Optimization of AI models for constrained and distributed computing (e.g., TinyML, federated learning)
• Integration of AI computation proofs into blockchain (e.g., zkML)
• Development of AI marketplaces and AI-integrated APIs

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the system architecture vision and ensure alignment with product and technical goals
• Oversee scalable blockchain architecture with the Cosmos SDK and Rust-based smart contracts
• Collaborate with product, AI/ML, backend, DevOps, and customer teams to align architecture with system needs
• Lead design reviews, provide mentorship, and maintain high-quality standards across the technical stack
• Distribute computational workloads between on-chain and off-chain environments for efficiency.
• Define and implement engineering standards for the development team.
• Audit and enhance system performance for AI execution in a Web3 environment.
