Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Specialist to join the analytics team, a leading provider of training management systems for the defense and aviation industries. Our systems support NASA, armed forces, Boeing, and major airlines in ensuring their pilots, astronauts, and military units stay mission-ready by leveraging data-driven insights.

Your Role

· Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions using SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, and other database technologies

· Create and optimize ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from multiple sources

· Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Reporting Services, QuickSight, and other BI tools

· Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions

· Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all data platforms

· Implement and maintain data models optimized for analytical workloads

· Document data warehouse architecture, data flows, and reporting solutions

· Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data warehousing and business intelligence

Qualifications

· 3+ years of experience in data warehousing and business intelligence roles

· Strong proficiency with SQL Server and Amazon Redshift

· Experience building dashboards and reports using Reporting Services and Amazon QuickSight

· Solid understanding of data modeling techniques for analytical systems (star schema, snowflake, etc.)

· Proficiency in SQL query writing, optimization, and performance tuning

· Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools

· Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)

· Proven ability to work effectively in team environments

· Self-motivated with excellent time management skills for remote/hybrid work

Bonus Points

· Experience with additional database platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, etc.)

· Knowledge of additional BI visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)

· Understanding of data governance principles and practices

· Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

· Knowledge of Python, R, or other programming languages for data manipulation

· Experience with agile development methodologies
