Data Engineer

Stay Group is an innovative Marketing company with a mission to help businesses acquire their target customers and create top-tier solutions in the iGaming and entertainment industry. We are seeking a skilled and innovative Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, building, and maintaining ETL pipelines, and will play a crucial role in the seamless flow of data within our organization. Experience with Kafka integration and proficiency in tools such as BigQuery and Python will be highly advantageous.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design, Build, and Maintain ETL Pipelines: develop and optimize ETL processes to support data extraction, transformation, and loading activities. Ensure the robustness, scalability, and efficiency of the data pipelines.
• Manage Data Flow: oversees and enhance all steps of data flow, from data ingestion to storage and processing, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Kafka Integration: implement and manage Kafka-based solutions to handle real-time data streaming and integration across various systems.
• Collaboration: work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Performance Optimization: monitor and tune the performance of data systems to ensure they meet business requirements.
• Data Quality and Governance: implement best practices for data quality, data governance, and data security.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven Experience: demonstrable experience in designing and maintaining ETL pipelines.
• Technical Proficiency: strong understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, and data modeling concepts.
• Kafka Expertise: hands-on experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming and integration.
• BigQuery and Python: proficiency in using BigQuery and Python for data processing and analysis.
• Problem-Solving Skills: ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues.
• Collaboration: excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Educational Background: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Cloud Experience: experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
• Data Tools: familiarity with other data tools and technologies (e.g., Spark, Airflow, Snowflake).
• Advanced Analytics: experience with machine learning and advanced analytics is a plus.
