AI Agent Developer (Eliza OS-Based) to $2500

We’re seeking a talented and creative AI Agent Developer to join our team and help build intelligent conversational agents inspired by the Eliza OS architecture. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of symbolic reasoning, pattern-matching, and dialogue-driven systems, with a passion for building agents that can hold meaningful, context-aware conversations and perform autonomous functions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AI agents based on Eliza-style frameworks and modern LLM integrations
• Create robust pattern-matching systems, prompt-based logic trees, and memory/state management
• Architect modular, pluggable agent structures that can handle diverse tasks and personas
• Integrate agents with APIs, external systems, or plugins (e.g., for search, databases, chat platforms)
• Optimize conversational flow, responsiveness, and emotional believability
• Prototype quickly, test iteratively, and evolve agent behavior over time

Requirements:

• Proven experience building conversational agents, especially with Eliza-style logic or prompt-based systems
• Strong knowledge of NLP, AI, and language models (OpenAI, Claude, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or relevant scripting languages
• Familiarity with state machines, context windows, token limits, and prompt engineering
• Creative thinker with a systems mindset and attention to user experience
• Experience with memory layers (vector stores, structured logs, or persistent sessions) is a plus
• Bonus: Familiarity with multi-agent systems or characters with unique “personas” or motivations

Nice to Have:

• Experience with agent simulators or world models
• Background in cognitive science or computational psychology
• Comfort working in experimental, exploratory environments
