Junior Test Engineer to $700

Visco is looking for talented programmers to develop its proprietary software product in the field of digital twin technology. https://visco.no/vcog-metatwin/

Basic requirements:

• Understanding SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
• Types of testing: Manual, Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Exploratory, Ad-hoc, UI, API, Performance.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies: Black Box, White Box, Gray Box.
• Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum/Kanban.
• Writing Test Cases, Test Plans, Test Reports, Checklists.
• Bug tracking systems: Jira, Azure DevOps.
• API Testing: Postman, Swagger (basic GET/POST requests).
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Communication and teamwork.
• English B1+

Daily & General Functions within the Project:

• Review software specifications and design documents to identify gaps or inconsistencies.
• Collaborating with developers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Creating test cases and test scripts.
• Executing test cases manually to verify software functionality and usability.
• Regression testing to ensure previous functionalities remain intact after updates.
• Identifying, documenting, and prioritizing defects in bug-tracking tools like Azure DevOps.
• Collaborating with developers to reproduce and diagnose defects.
• Monitoring defect status and verifying fixes during retesting.
• Working closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure quality standards are met.
• Providing reports on testing.
• Documentation of test results and defects.
