Trainee / Junior QA Engineer (Web)

Veel is hiring a Junior QA Engineer to help ensure the quality of our web applications built with React, Next.js, and Node.js. You'll test real features in real environments and learn modern QA practices through hands-on experience.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Test new features and bug fixes in browser-based applications (manual testing only)
  • Write clear, structured test cases and checklists based on product specs or Figma designs
  • Log bugs in Linear/ClickUp with detailed reproduction steps and visual evidence
  • Validate REST API responses using tools like Postman/Insomnia
  • Use browser dev tools to inspect elements, monitor console errors, and analyze network traffic
  • Provide structured feedback during team demos and sprint reviews
  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues using issue tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of test documentation.
  • Report test results and provide recommendations for improvements to the development team.

     

Requirements

 

  • 0–6 months of QA or manual web testing experience
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and browser behavior
  • Familiarity with dev tools like Chrome DevTools or Firefox Inspector
  • Ability to follow a test case, reproduce bugs, and write clear bug reports
  • Intermediate+ English β€” written clarity is a must
