We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS cloud services and expertise in managing and automating infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services such as RDS, ECS, EKS, and MongoDB Atlas, as well as proficiency in containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC). This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate across teams to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management

  • Provision, configure, and manage AWS services including RDS, ECS, EKS, EC2, S3, and CloudWatch.
  • Integrate and manage external SaaS-based platforms like MongoDB Atlas.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Optimize cloud architecture for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

CI/CD Pipeline Development

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Automate build, testing, and deployment processes to reduce manual intervention.
  • Embed security scanning and performance testing into the CI/CD workflows.

Containerization & Orchestration

  • Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS).
  • Optimize container images and deployment strategies for scalability and efficiency.

Monitoring & Logging

  • Set up robust monitoring systems using AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, or third-party tools like Prometheus or New Relic.
  • Develop alerting strategies to ensure system reliability and quick incident resolution.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement security best practices for network architecture, IAM policies, data encryption, and application security.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Collaboration & Troubleshooting

  • Work closely with development teams to streamline application deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues to minimize downtime.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (RDS, ECS/EKS) and Linux-based environments.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience building automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar frameworks.
  • Skilled in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus or AWS CloudWatch.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MongoDB Atlas or other NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of advanced Kubernetes setups (e.g., Helm charts).
  • Familiarity with additional AWS services like Lambda or Elastic Beanstalk.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills under pressure.
