As we continue to scale and enhance our technology infrastructure, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Part-Time System Administrator to manage our IT infrastructure and serve as the first point of contact for technical support. This role involves maintaining hardware, software, networks, and providing quick and effective solutions to internal tech issues. Key Responsibilities:
- IT Support: Act as the primary tech help desk for employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- System Administration: Manage and maintain servers, cloud services, and internal networks.
- User Management: Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Set up access and accounts for new employees and revoke access when employees leave.
- Hardware & Software: Install, configure, and update software and hardware as needed.
- Security: Ensure systems are secure by implementing best practices for firewalls, antivirus, and data protection.
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear IT documentation, including troubleshooting guides and network diagrams.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with third-party providers for tech support, hardware procurement, and service management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, IT Support Specialist, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Workspace, etc.) and network protocols.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data privacy best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with remote desktop solutions and help desk software.
- Basic scripting or automation skills.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are a plus.
