Middle PHP Developer (WordPress and Modern PHP Frameworks)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
• Work with WordPress core architecture, hooks (actions & filters), ACF, and WooCommerce
• Optimize WordPress performance and ensure clean, maintainable code
• Integrate and work with REST APIs
• Develop applications using modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Yii, or similar)
• Design and optimize database structures in MySQL, including indexing and query optimization
• Work with server environments (Nginx/Apache) and deployment processes
• Utilize Git for version control and collaborative workflows
• Debug, test (unit/integration), and optimize applications for high performance

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong PHP skills with a solid grasp of OOP and design patterns
• Experience with WordPress development, including custom post types and taxonomies
• Good knowledge of Composer, class autoloading, and modern PHP practices
• Familiarity with templating engines (Blade, Twig) and ORM usage
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React, Tailwind is a plus)
• Competence in debugging, testing, and performance optimization
• Experience with Bedrock/Sage by Roots Team is a plus
• Basic knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) and web server setup/deployment tools
