PHP/Symfony Developer Offline

We are inviting an experienced PHP Developer for a remote position to join a small, focused team (1 developer + PM) working on system modernisation and cloud infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact in a collaborative and agile environment.

Immediate Project Focus:

The immediate focus will be on the dockerization of the application and AWS redeployment, with an emphasis on:

• Separation of development and production environments
• Implementing reliable rollback capabilities
• Ensuring minimal downtime during deployments
• Building a robust CI/CD pipeline

Once this is done it will be a pure dev position.

Current Technology Stack::

• Backend: PHP/Symfony framework with AWS service integrations
• Database: MariaDB, Elasticsearch
• Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Twig templating

What we are looking for:

• Strong experience with PHP and Symfony framework
• Proven expertise in nginx configuration and working within Linux environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS, especially with CloudFront, SNS, SES, and a willingness to learn new AWS services
• Proficiency in Docker containerization
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of cron job optimization
• Knowledge of Elasticache is a plus

• Languages: English (Required)
• French (Advantageous but not required)
