Lead React Native Engineer (OTT and Smart TV Expertise) to $6000 Offline

Our platform focuses on high-volume audio and video streaming, playback, storage, and media management, serving thousands of users across various devices and platforms. We are looking for a passionate Lead React Native Engineer to spearhead our front-end efforts and ensure seamless streaming experiences on web, TVOS, and other connected devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead React Native Development
  Drive the design and development of React Native applications, ensuring best practices and optimal performance across multiple platforms (web, mobile, TVOS).
• Architect & Design Streaming Solutions
  Collaborate with the team to architect solutions for intensive audio/video streaming, including HLS, DASH, RTP, WebRTC, DRM, and other related technologies.
• Build High-Performance Applications
  Implement robust, user-friendly interfaces and ensure smooth playback experiences for live streaming, VOD, and on-demand content.
• Multi-Platform Support
  Utilize React Native Web, TVOS, and MobX to expand the product’s reach across various devices, ensuring consistent user experiences.
• Collaborate on Architecture & System Design
  Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend teams to define system requirements, make architectural decisions, and estimate development efforts.
• Scalability & Optimization
  Ensure the product is performant, scalable, and capable of handling large user bases with minimal latency and downtime.
• Testing & CI/CD
  Implement automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/delivery pipelines to maintain high code quality and rapid release cycles.
• Mentorship & Leadership
  Guide and mentor a team of engineers, offering technical direction and support to maintain a collaborative and growth-focused environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5-6+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Expertise in React Native (including React Native Web, Reanimated, MobX).
• Proven experience with OTT and Video Streaming Technologies, such as HLS, DASH, RTP, WebRTC, DRM, and transcoding/encoding pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Cloud Services (preferably AWS) and deployment strategies.
• Experience with Databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Automated Testing (Unit, Integration, E2E) and CI/CD tools.
• Backend familiarity with at least one of the following: Node.js, Java, .NET, Python, Golang, PHP.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Leadership experience, able to guide technical discussions and mentor junior developers.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience building and deploying TVOS or Smart TV applications.
• Knowledge of DRM solutions and licensing workflows.
• Familiarity with media asset management and large-scale content delivery networks (CDNs).
• Background in live event streaming or concert streaming products.
