General QA Engineer (mostly focus on Manual testing experience) Offline
We are seeking an experienced and talented General QA Engineer to join our client’s team. In this role, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing testing strategies, ensuring seamless integration of quality assurance processes within development workflows, and optimizing the overall quality and performance of software products. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both manual and automated testing, with a strong focus on web and mobile applications.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development and product teams to define and execute comprehensive testing strategies.
- Test and verify web applications, APIs, and mobile applications (both native and responsive) through manual and automated approaches.
- Identify and escalate release bugs and production incidents, ensuring a high-quality user experience.
- Provide business- and technical-related insights to support the development team.
- Define and estimate testing scope at various stages of the SDLC.
- Develop and maintain detailed, structured test cases and manage them within test suites.
- Gather and evaluate necessary information for testing, providing feedback to Product Owners.
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and team discussions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing.
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software testing principles.
- Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) is a plus.
- Experience in testing responsive web applications and native mobile applications (iOS & Android).
- Experience using BrowserStack or similar cross-browser testing platforms.
- Proficiency in bug tracking systems, with experience creating and verifying bug reports.
- Experience with GIT for version control.
- Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, with experience writing SQL queries.
- Experience using logging and performance monitoring tools such as Kibana, Grafana, etc.
- Ability to independently manage testing processes from start to finish.
- Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to identify and resolve software issues.
- Strong adaptability in dynamic environments, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
