Technical Writer Lead in Engineering Team
Your expertise:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in technical writing, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
- Extensive experience in creating a variety of technical documents, including API references (OpenAPI, JSDoc), technical specifications, user manuals, system / process documentation, and release notes
- C1 / C2 level of English
- Proficiency with Markdown, Git, Atlassian stack tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), and familiarity with docs-as-code approach
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to a wide range of stakeholders, from developers to senior executives
- Deep understanding of business operations, process modeling, and software development life cycles
- Experience working in agile environments, collaborating with teams to meet fast-paced documentation deadlines
Will definitely be a plus:
- Experience with AsciiDoc or other similar documentation markup languages
- Familiarity with leading documentation style guides (e.g., Google Developer Documentation, Microsoft Style Guide, Apple Style Guide)

You will be involved into:
- Analyze and propose solutions to complex user and system requirements
- Lead by example in creating and reviewing technical documentation, such as API references, specifications, user guides, and release notes. Ensure clarity, accuracy, and accessibility for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ensure the creation of high-quality, accurate documentation while maintaining best practices that align with organizational standards. Suggest and introduce metrics to assess the quality and efficiency of documentation
- Lead and mentor a team of technical writers, providing direction and priorities. Assess the skills and suggest professional development plans for the technical writers in the team
- Work closely with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, to analyze business needs and ensure documentation aligns with both business and technical goals
- Actively gather feedback from stakeholders, customers, and product teams to identify areas for improvement and drive efficiency. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, integrating relevant insights into the team’s processes to optimize the overall documentation experience
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams and stakeholders on documentation tools, techniques, and best practices. Foster a collaborative environment where documentation processes and tools are well-understood and followed
