Operating as an Extreme Programming (XP) team, the Tiger Team focuses on rapid iteration, continuous improvement, and close collaboration.
We’re looking for a dynamic and skilled Full Stack Developer to lead this innovative team. As the Tiger Team Lead, you’ll manage and mentor a small team of one front-end and one back-end engineer. You’ll guide the team in creating rapid prototypes, delivering scalable solutions, and fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Guide and Mentor the Team: Provide technical leadership to a small team of one front-end and one back-end engineer, fostering collaboration and alignment with clean, scalable architectural principles.
- Support Team Capacity: Work alongside team members to provide hands-on support, addressing technical challenges and ensuring timely delivery of solutions when additional capacity is needed.
- Prototype Rapidly: Deliver quick, high-quality prototypes to validate growth experiments and test new product ideas.
- Enhance Onboarding and Engagement: Implement features to improve user onboarding and engagement while adapting the product based on customer needs and usage patterns.
- Adopt XP Practices: Embrace Extreme Programming (XP) principles such as pair programming, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product, sales, and marketing teams to align technical execution with business goals.
- Embrace Message-Driven Systems: Design and implement solutions leveraging message-driven architectures and streaming systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
- Leverage Cloud Platforms: Utilize AWS and other cloud technologies to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of deployments.
- Support CI/CD: Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment workflows.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, with a proven ability to lead and mentor small engineering teams.
- Strong expertise in front-end frameworks such as React.js, with a deep understanding of component-based design and state management tools (e.g., Redux, Context API).
- Proficiency in back-end development with a strong understanding of at lease two backend programming languages (such as Go, Rust, Python, or Java).
- Experience building and consuming REST and WebSocket APIs.
- Familiarity with message-driven or streaming architectures using technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Flink.
- Proficiency with AWS cloud services, including RDS, S3, and Lambda.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as Cassandra, TimescaleDB or similar time-series databases.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to addressing technical challenges.
- Familiarity with Extreme Programming (XP) practices such as pair programming and test-driven development (TDD).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in delivering rapid prototypes and adapting solutions based on user feedback and business needs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins).
- Knowledge of caching technologies like Redis, Memcached, or Hazelcast, and strategies for optimizing performance.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools for distributed systems.
- Knowledge of Salt Stack or similar configuration management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within a small, agile team.
