Full-Stack Developer (Symfony) with Product Mindset

We’re hiring a Symfony Developer who codes with urgency, quality, and ownership.
 

Our product connects businesses with celebrities and influencers for different types of business engagements. We are growing quickly and are building what we believe will become the operating system for the entertainment industry.
 

We’re looking for a Symfony developer who not only writes clean, reliable code—but also works with urgency, takes ownership, and has the drive to push through when it counts. This is a fast-paced, ambitious environment, and we need someone who’s not afraid of hard work or tight sprints to hit big goals.
 

We’ve worked with developers in the past who noticed broken or poorly built features but didn’t fix them simply because no one told them to. That’s not what we’re looking for. We want someone who sees a problem, understands it, and begins solving it—someone who works independently and doesn’t need to be micromanaged to take action.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new features and improve existing functionality in Symfony applications.
• Fix bugs and implement updates swiftly while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to understand the purpose behind each task and the end user’s needs.
• Implement features and layouts that are intuitive and user-friendly without requiring design skills.
• Perform thorough testing of your work – there’s no dedicated QA team, so attention to detail is critical.
• Make architectural decisions to improve scalability and performance.
• Maintain quality checks, metrics, and monitoring (e.g., automated testing, error reporting, and performance monitoring tools).

Requirements

• Symfony Expertise: Proven experience building and maintaining applications in Symfony.
• Laravel Knowledge: Strong understanding of Laravel to support upcoming development projects.
• Product Mindset: Ability to think like a product manager by considering the user’s needs and ensuring features are practical, intuitive, and well-placed.
• Front-End Implementation: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Angular (or similar frameworks) to build user-friendly layouts. Design skills are not required, but understanding user flows and logical placement is essential.
• Database Knowledge: Strong understanding of MySQL (or other RDBMS).
• Testing Skills: Ability to write tests in PHP (e.g., PHPUnit) and front-end testing (e.g., Jasmine). Bonus for experience with CI pipelines.
• Version Control: Comfortable working with Git for version control and collaboration.
• Team Collaboration: Strong written and spoken English to effectively communicate with a USA-based team.

• Work Hours: Ability to overlap 3–4 hours with 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST.
