Data Scientist \ Operations Research Scientist Offline

Foodtech team is looking for Data Scientist to help us with implementation of Operational Analytics function to develop analytical tools for rapid growth of newly formed food delivery business. As a team member at E-Commerce Business Unit of Fozzy Group, you will help to transform operational data into tangible business value by analyzing information, creating advanced ML models and optimization algorithms, communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development.
Responsibilities:
- design and implement advanced mathematical, simulation, and optimization models to address last-mile delivery routing and demand planning needs, driving both strategic and tactical business solutions.
- apply optimization techniques (e.g., linear, mixed-integer, stochastic programming) to develop efficient methodologies for in-house decision support tools and software.
- research, prototype, and test models using Python and support their deployment in production.
- transform large data sets into insights, recommendations and actionable plans for product teams;
- build predictive models using machine learning algorithms to support various business functions, such as demand forecasting, delivery polygons and resource optimization;
- design, implement, and manage the environment and infrastructure required for machine learning models training and inference.
- collaborate with various teams across the organization to identify business questions, analyze data, and provide insights to drive business decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics / Engineering / Computer Sciences / Quantitative Economics / Econometrics;
- strong mathematical background in Linear algebra, Probability, Statistics & Optimization Techniques;
- at least 2 years working experience on Data Science / Operations Research;
- experience of the full cycle of model implementation (data collection, model training and evaluation, model deployment and monitoring);
- independence, proactivity and the ability to decompose when solving problems.
Skills:
- proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python);
- Machine Learning techniques (e.g., Decision Trees, Random Forest, and Boosting), Time Series Analysis and application of Statistical Concepts (Hypothesis testing, A/B tests, PCA);
- SQL (Window & Analytic functions, Nested Queries);
- knowledge of Reporting and Business Intelligence Software (Power BI, Tableau);
Will be a plus:
- experience with Data Engineering tools (Airflow);
- practical experience in designing ML systems;
- experience with building optimization models (linear, non-linear, mixed-integer, large-scale, network, robust, stochastic programming) and implementing (OR tools);
- experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure.
