Role Overview:

As a Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in defining and delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients in the finance sector. In this startup environment, you will be tasked with finding product-market fit, acting as a bridge between technology and business development. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, compliance, and sales to drive product strategy, roadmap planning, and execution.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Fintech/Crypto B2B SaaS offerings, iteratively finding product-market fit in collaboration with business development.

- Gather and prioritize requirements from stakeholders, customers, and market research to inform product decisions.

- Work closely with engineering and design teams to translate requirements into actionable user stories, prototypes, and features.

- Champion the agile development process, overseeing sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.

- Collaborate with the compliance office to ensure our products comply with industry regulations and standards, including AML, KYC, GDPR, and others.

- Navigate licensing requirements, including MICA EU, to ensure our products meet regulatory obligations in jurisdictions where we operate.

- Lead efforts to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications, working with regulatory bodies and legal counsel as needed to ensure compliance.

- Utilize sales skills to drive product awareness, adoption, and revenue growth, acting as a business development manager in the early stages of the startup.

- Monitor product performance and user feedback, iterating on features to optimize user experience and drive adoption.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the finance sector, preferably within Fintech or Crypto industries.

- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software products from concept to launch, ideally in a startup or entrepreneurial environment.

- Deep understanding of financial technologies, including blockchain, cryptocurrency, payment processing, and regulatory compliance.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex requirements into clear and actionable plans.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Sales skills and experience are highly valued, as this role requires driving product adoption and revenue growth in the early stages of the startup.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
