Data Migration Lead $3000-6000

The Data Migration Lead will collaborate with the implementation team to develop a Data Migration Plan. Identify the correct Data Entities to be used in Data Migration and the design of any required custom Data Entities required. The DM Lead will work with the client to develop a repeatable extraction, transformation, and load process. The DM Lead will be the leader of the Data Migration workstream and their duties will include planning, supporting, and managing the multiple iterations of data migration required.

Key Responsibilities

• Train the client’s team on the process for migrating data using the D365 Data Management Framework.

• Understanding D365 F&O and CE data entities or AX data base scheme.

• Work with the project leadership to develop a data migration plan for the project.

• Identify the correct Data Entities to be required by the system and the project.

• Provide ongoing workstream management and support throughout the data migration process.

• Work with the client to develop a process for validating and correcting invalid data.

• Report the data migration status to the Project Manager.

• Track the budget to actual hours allocate to the data migration work.

• Work with project managers and business teams to develop data migration plans.

• Determine the data migration scope for the project.

• Manage data migration tests/trial loads to agreed levels of data volume and quality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Azure architecture related to Data, Data Lakes, Data Bricks, Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, and other azure components.

• General database querying knowledge. SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational data bases.

• Strong T-SQL skills. Can write and perform validation scripts.

• Strong report creation skills in Power BI.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• At least 5 years’ experience in data migration or data integration projects.

• Data Management with REST API.

• Past experience with AX 2009, AX 2012, SL, Great Plains an asset.

• Proven experience working with global teams across many countries.
