Middle/Senior Full-Stack PHP Engineer Offline

Launch Labs is seeking a skilled Senior Full-Stack PHP Engineer to join our growing team.

This is a rights management platform, built approximately 3 years ago, for the entertainment industry. It is designed to streamline the acquisition and distribution of video content for broadcasters and streaming platforms.
 

We're looking for a Senior PHP Engineer to audit the existing codebase, identify what's working (and what's not), and help prepare the product for its very first Beta launch. It’s an ideal role for someone who enjoys untangling complex legacy systems, laying a technical foundation, and doing it all with a flexible, part-time schedule.

We’re looking for a Senior PHP Engineer to:

• conduct a technical audit of the current platform (there’s an older and a newer version);
• provide a roadmap and implementation plan for getting the platform ready for Beta launch;
• improve, update, and modernize the codebase as needed;
• identify risks, technical debt, and missing functionality.
   

Ideal Candidate 

• 5+ years of experience in PHP developent, with proven experience in backend system architecture;
• strong knowledge of MySQL (PostgreSQL/MongoDB also helpful);
• familiar with MVC architecture patterns;
• comfortable working with and improving legacy systems;

• experienced in working independently, proposing clear action plans and tech strategy.

   

Logistics

• part-time hourly (flexible hours);
• initial engagement: 3 months, with potential to extend depending on project scope and client needs;
• fully remote.
