Middle+/Senior Backend (PHP) Developer (offline)

Jamworks is an AI platform that enables captured content from any source to be transcribed, captioned, highlighted, summarised, bullet pointed into actions and tasks, quizzed, shared, analysed and stored. Video, audio, text, slides, notes, pdf’s and other input, with Desktop, iOS and Android support. Immediately selling into the educational market, with a primary focus on students with learning disabilities and the institutions themselves, Jamworks, which integrates to everything, is the only companion a student needs.

We’re committed to changing the world of content through powerful AI and looking for a Middle+/Senior Backend (PHP) Developer to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Developing and maintaining the backend system using PHP8.2
- Implementing new functionality and supporting existing code;
- Collaborating with the development team and other departments to ensure the efficient operation of the product.
- Troubleshooting and resolving bugs, performance issues, and other technical problems

Requirements:

- At least 3 years of experience working with PHP, Laravel/Symfony framework
- SOLID understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
- MySQL, understanding of database functioning, writing queries, optimization.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git/Gitlab
- Docker, Docker-compose
- AWS infrastructure as a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- English: Intermediate
