Currently, we are looking for a Data Platform Technical Lead, who will play a pivotal role in transforming our data infrastructure to ensure seamless experiences for our customers and drive business growth.
Challenges you’ll meet:
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of skilled data engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Data Platform Modernization: Redesign and modernize our existing data platform using the latest tools and technologies to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and scalability.
- ETL/ELT Excellence: Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT processes to ensure high-quality and consistent data, supporting the integrity of our analytics and insights.
- Best Practices and CI/CD Methods: Build robust pipelines for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), streamlining software delivery and enhancing efficiency in collaboration with development teams.
- Monitoring and Alerting System: Establish a comprehensive monitoring and alerting system, performing health checks, cross-platform validations, and reconciliation processes for a resilient data infrastructure.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with data analysis and product development teams to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable data pipelines that contribute to informed decision-making.
- Innovation and Testing: Test new approaches by creating Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and conducting benchmarks to continuously improve our data platform.
Your professional qualities:
- 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing new systems, optimizing legacy solutions
- At least 3+ years of experience in AWS
- Proficiency in data modeling techniques, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Deep CI/CD knowledge — Gitlab CI
- Monitoring/logging knowledge (Grafana, Graylog, etc.)
- Hands-on experience in/ with:
1) AWS Cloud Infrastructure (Redshift + RsSpectrum, S3, MWAA, RDS, Kinesis, SQS, Lambda)
2) AWS Redshift administration and optimization.
3) automation, using Python + SQL
4) streaming and micro — batching ETL
5) GitLab administration
6) designing and creating API
7) creating design solutions and large-scale architecture, balancing between various types of constraint
8) third parties integration (marketing networks, payment systems, various other platforms)
9) ETL problem solving
- High level of personal responsibility, readiness to commit to products instead of tasks
- English level Intermediate+
Nice to have experience with:
- AWS (EMR, EKS, Athena, Glue, EC2)
- DWH (Snowflake, etc.)
- PySpark
- database administration (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
