Digital Marketing Lead Offline
Darwin is a rapidly growing digital agency based in Washington, DC. We support clients and projects, spanning various industries, organization sizes, missions and visions — and work with a myriad of technology and creative platforms. Our clients range from start-ups to big brands like Audi, Seagate and World Resource Institute, from non-profit organizations to software platforms and commercial brands.
We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Lead whose responsibilities will include Agency Marketing: promotion of Darwin and increase of awareness of the company in the American digital market, and creation of new leads.
This position includes a lot of creativity, freedom to propose new ideas and make decisions, try new approaches and the opportunity to learn from the best of the best. The majority of our clients are doing exactly that — industry best work that supports our team with everything we need to help them get the best results.
You’ll work closely with and report to our CEO.
Responsibilities Include:
Our ideal candidate is a digital marketing specialist who can develop strategy, build and manage campaigns — and is comfortable across a variety of channels and tactics with a clear vision for how they all work and fit together. You’ll work on:
1. Marketing Strategy: Create and implement marketing strategy and programs for Darwin that captures and nurtures new leads across our multiple marketing channels (including SEM, organic search, email, targeted social advertising, marketing partnerships, paid traffic acquisition, and more).
2. Lead Generation: Drive inbound lead generation to get new clients.
3. Analysis & Optimization: Analyze new leads and conversions to optimize.
4. Campaigns & Sales Support: Create and implement sales funnels.
5. Paid Ads & Digital Media: Build and manage paid campaigns on our channels including Clutch, LinkedIn, Google Search & Display, retargeting, and more.
6. Website & Content: Manage and optimize Darwin website and content for search and lead generation, and analyze website traffic for optimization.
7. Agency Promotion: Promote Darwin in new ways and find new audience opportunities that help grow the agency. Review competitive agencies to stay ahead of new opportunities and best practices.
8. Channel Management: Analyze and monitor performance of Darwin social media, email, marketing channels and content.
9. Team Collaboration: Work with our teams to guide designers and developers in marketing executions.
Skills & Experience Requirements:
We’re looking for a hands-on go-getter who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and do some smart, awesome digital marketing work. We don’t care as much about years of experience or official regalia (although both are great). Most important is the passion and talent you bring to the table. That said, we’re looking for someone with:
1. 5-8+ years of experience in digital marketing, ideally with digital agencies and clients.
2. Digital Marketing Expertise: Foundational expertise in digital marketing principles, best practices and strategies.
3. Web Design & Development Process: Knowledge of the website development lifecycle (SDLC) and how it applies to custom CMS builds.
4. Digital Marketing Tools & Platforms: Deep understanding of Hubspot, Google Analytics, Mixpanel and other digital marketing tools.
5. Search Marketing: Knowledge of SEO and SEM.
6. Web Analytics: Love of analytics and a data driven approach.
7. Thought Leadership: Knowledge of the latest digital media technologies.
8. Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This is a fully remote position and you can work from anywhere, but the more overlap you have with 9am - 5pm EST time, the better.
