Our ideal new AQA Engineer possesses the following experience, expertise, and personal characteristics:
- Ability to work from the Chernivtsi office.
- Ability to have regular business trips to Iasi, Romania, Netherlands, and Italy is a plus.
- Proficiency (3+ years) in QA testing, including ISTQB certification or other relevant certifications in software testing.
- Experience in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Knowledge of various types of testing, including functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing.
- Knowledge and experience with bug tracking tools, Agile/Scrum development methodologies, and API testing, as well as tools like Postman or similar.
- Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks, as well as performance testing tools and techniques.
- Understanding of database management systems and SQL queries.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different locations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail—ability to identify, isolate, and report software defects effectively.
- Upper-intermediate level of English (both written and verbal).
About the position of AQA Engineer:
As a AQA Engineer, your main mission is to ensure the software's functionality, usability, and performance align perfectly with our users' needs. Your tasks and responsibilities are diverse and can be divided into groups as follows, though not limited to them.
Responsibilities in developing and executing comprehensive test plans:
- Developing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
- Conducting various types of testing, including functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing.
- Creating and maintaining test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test reports.
- Participating in test plan reviews, requirement analysis, and sprint planning meetings.
- Identifying and reporting software defects and issues using appropriate bug tracking tools, and working closely with development teams to resolve them.
- Responsibilities in further building our team's capabilities:
- Continuously improving testing processes and strategies by staying up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure effective communication and understanding of project requirements.
