Mid/Senior Backend Engineer (GO) (offline)

We seek a part-time Mid/Senior Backend Engineer to join our fully remote team at Drope.me.

The Role:
We seek someone who can work well in a fast-paced startup environment and bring your experience, ideas, and energy to our team. You should have a solid background in the fundamentals of software development as well as the ambition of working in a fast-growing startup. Ideally, you seek a path to grow to a full-time role as a Tech Lead/CTO role.

Responsibilities:
- Work in the fast-paced environment of Drope.me's API platform, as a vital member of our engineering team
- Your primary responsibility will be maintaining an API, developing new features, gathering requirements, collaborating with the product team
- We use Go as the primary language on the backend. The API is deployed to the Google Cloud. For database, we use Firestore, so experience with any NoSQL database is preferable
- Participate in software architecture design and code reviews
- Take part in product discussions and express ideas freely
- Constantly learn and expand your skill set

Requirements:
- 4+ years of total software engineering experience, at least 1+ year of professional experience with Go
- 1+ years of tech lead/managerial experience
- Experience with queues (Pub/sub, SQS, RabbitMQ)
- Experience with Terraform
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to find solutions independently
- Proficient understanding of Docker and containers
- At least 1+ year of experience with any cloud provider (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)
- Upper-intermediate English is a must
