Lead AI Engineer (ML, NLP, RAG, LLM Orchestrating) Offline

We are currently operating as a product company. We develop solutions for VC (Venture Capitalists) firms from the inside (VC firm from Silicon Valley is a co-founder of the company). We create AI Assistant tools tailored to the needs of professional investors, analysts, and venture partners. This is a full-fledged product experience.

 

We seek an experienced Software Engineer with a strong AI/ML background who can lead the project's development, build effective LLM apps, RAG systems for structured and unstructured data, and move from foundation models to open-source fine-tuned solutions. This position might suit you if you have strong software engineering experience and a passion for NLP and AI and a deep understanding of transformer architectures.

What we are looking for:

 

- Masters Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline;

- 10+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C++, C#, PHP Rust, Go, Python, etc;

- Solid experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and others;

- Strong understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and transformer architectures like BERT, GPT4, T5, LLaMA, etc;

- Commercial experience in training, fine-tuning, and validating ML models;

- Commercial experience in building LLM applications, especially RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) systems, RAG Evaluation;

- Technical lead or team lead experience in an engineering team of at least 2 years;

- Familiarity with distributed systems, containerization, and modern DevOps practices (e.g., K8S, Docker, CI/CD);

- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

 

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

 

- Expertise in working with OpenAI's API, LlamaIndex, and Vector Stores (Weaviate, Chroma, etc.);

- Experience with Deep Prompt Engineering techniques (ReAct, Reflection, etc.);

- Experience in implementing solutions that are described on the arxiv and for which there are no standard toolkits.

 

What will you be doing:

 

- Responsible for the architecture of the LLM application;

- Building a scalable complex RAG system; RAG evaluation;

- Actively research the latest AI/ML approaches;

- Building the process of fine-tuning models;

- Write code to implement AI/ML part of application;

- Leadership in managing a team of engineers (4 persons);

- Mentor team members and ensure they adhere to determining software quality standards;
