Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join our team working within the oil and gas domain.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing real-time widgets to support our operations.

This role requires in-depth knowledge of various technologies and best practices, and a strong ability to adapt and solve complex challenges in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain real-time widgets using Node.js and related technologies.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with other systems and data sources.

3. Write well-documented, efficient, and testable code following best development practices.

4. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

5. Implement and maintain a robust set of services and APIs to power the application.

6. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, while continuously improving code quality.

7. Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends that can enhance the platform's functionality or performance.

Mandatory Skills Description:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Node.js and Express, 2 years with Angular

2. Strong proficiency in JavaScript, especially in using TypeScript.

3. Hands-on experience with MongoDB and a clear understanding of its working principles.

4. Experience in testing frameworks, particularly Jest.

5. Familiarity with caching using Redis.

6. Knowledge of communication protocols like MQTT and RMQ (RabbitMQ).

7. In-depth understanding of development patterns and principles.

8. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Prior experience in the oil and gas industry or related domains.

Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
