About the Project

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring quality in the software development and product engineering process. You will work with different departments including product management, engineering, and user experience to develop, monitor, and improve processes, standards, and test automation frameworks. The role requires expertise in software testing across multiple deployment environments, including embedded systems, API testing, desktop/mobile applications, and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement automated test infrastructure and build test automation frameworks, reusable modules, and test tools.

Plan, develop, and complete manual test scripts and automated tests on various applications and platforms.

Troubleshoot, analyze, report, and recommend changes to improve overall quality.

Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure quality throughout the software development process.

Work with hardware platforms, internet-connected applications/protocols, and networking protocols.

Keep up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends.

Use Agile/SCRUM development methodology or iterative process.

Understand quality engineering and assurance principles, processes, tools, and standard methodologies.

Skills

Must have

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

2-4 years proven experience in Software Quality Assurance with an emphasis on Quality Engineering and Test Automation.

Expertise in Python, App automation testing tools, and API Testing.

Experience creating test automation frameworks.

Comfortable with Linux programming and shell scripting.

Basic understanding of networking protocols.

Knowledge of QA and SDLC methodology.

Nice to have

Solid understanding of Object-Oriented implementation in Python.

CCNA/CCNP routing & switching certification or similar

PCEP/PCAP certification or similar
