Senior Scala/Spark Developer (OL) (offline)

Project Overview:
The goal of this project is to create a brand new infrastructure and framework for the automated end-to-end data compilation, verification and testing. We need somebody who is ready to deal with the new technologies and tools like Scala, Spark and Amazon cloud services.
The successful candidate should have a highly developed set of analytical and communication skills, an ability to deal with the technical challenges and be able to find and propose problem solutions and communicate them to the team and stakeholders.

Technologies used:
Scala, Java, Spark, CI (Jenkins), Git, AWS.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Java and Scala;
- Working experience with Spark platform;
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms;
- Experience in software performance optimization, knowledge of practices and tools;
- Solid knowledge of OOP and OOD;
- Experience with unit testing and TDD;
- Willing to regularly travel to Western Europe;
- Good spoken and written English.

Would be an advantage:
- Experience with AWS;
- Experience with spatial indexing technologies, Big Data.
