Junior Data Engineer for AI Software Product Offline

Simporter's AI-driven software automates new product research for Fortune 500s in FMCG and Fashion. Product company with a super friendly, young team, challenging tasks, awesome clients. We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our team and improve our product.

Simporter is about 35 people working fully remote in Ukraine, USA and Brazil, with clients like Colgate, Danone, and JTI. Our software recommends new products to launch, forecasts sales for new products, and monitors social feedback to each product.

Responsibilities:

— Creating and supporting data pipelines

— Cleaning and processing data

— Creating custom scrapers for a range of sources

— Automating scraping processes and storage

Requirements:

— 1+ years of experience with Python

— Strong knowledge of SQL

— Experience with Linux scripting

— Web scraping experience, especially with automating scraping process

— Ability to communicate in English on technical topics

As a plus:

— Understanding of the TCP, HTTP protocols and RESTful APIs

— Experience with MongoDB, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, Airflow

— Experience with Scrapy framework

— Experience with Google Cloud or other platforms
