Senior ETL Developer/Data Engineer to Savannah Group Offline

On behalf of Savannah Group, GT is looking for a Senior Data Engineer. Savannah Group is looking to expand its team in order to increase the pace of its development.

Savannah Group is a global executive talent solutions business with its headquarters in London. Founded 20 years ago, it has 70 employees and places senior executives into Fortune 500, FTSE 100, 250, private, public sector, and PE-backed clients. Its clients include Starbucks, Pepsi, Mondelez, Virgin Atlantic, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Aston Martin, PayPal, Manchester City, Vodafone, 3i, Bridgepoint, and many others.

Goal: Savannah is looking to develop a product for enterprise customers which helps them plan future talent strategies by enabling them to research companies and executives to build lists or pools of relevant talent.

Project stage: They have developed an MVP that uses a novel and unique way of identifying companies to headhunt in, and who might be the relevant person in that organization.

You will work closely with the technology leadership team and help tackle the engineering challenge of reducing the research time by a factor of ten: from 30 days down to 3 days. Moreover, you are going to build beautiful cutting-edge products that will be used by some of the world’s biggest brands. In this way, helping them improve the quality of the senior executives they hire.

Responsibilities:

- ETL Processes for importing data to production

- Setting up GCP services (Dataflow, Apache Airflow, Apache Beam, Monitoring)

- Service data to ML team requirements, ensuring data qualiity

- Integration of third-party APIs

- Identifying new data sources

- Working with Data Vendor to classify data

- Strategy on big data tools and scaling

- Automating pipelines and Data Validation

- Improving database architecture

- Attend and Contribute to SCRUM meetings

Essential skills and knowledge:

Overall

- 5 years of experience in data engineering and software development

- Advanced level of English

Python

- Very strong Python skills

- Pandas, Scikit-learn

ETL and Databases

- Strong skills in GCP DE / ETL tools, such as DataFlow, AirFlow, Cloud Tasks, Pub/Sub, AppEngine, Cloud Functions

- Strong SQL skills (MySQL 8)

- Database design

- ETL processes, refactoring, and automation

Data Science

- Knowledge of machine learning modeling and practices

- Knowledge of data requirements for model training

Other

- Fail-proof integrations of third-party APIs

- Agile Development

- Experience in code reviews and PRs

- Critical and solution-oriented thinking

Collaboration

- Working with data science team members for modeling
