Middle Data Scientist (offline)

Join our dynamic and innovative team of Data Management professionals who specialize in designing and delivering solutions to enable Big Data analytics which supports the growth and performance of our inflight connected experience.
We are currently seeking a Data Scientist with solid knowledge of the fundamentals of Statistics and expertise in coding, ML, and Big Data analytics to be a part of a team responsible for creating state-of-the-art proprietary algorithms, predictive models, and Big Data solutions to solve practical problems.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement algorithms to address all portions of the predictive modeling lifecycle
- Create robust, efficient, and flexible pipelines to transform data, train machine learning models, test and monitor operationalized models
- Research and select appropriate statistical methods and computational algorithms to create high-end analytic models for industry-relevant problems
- Work with large amounts of real-world data and ensure data quality throughout the stages of data collection, analysis, and transformation
- Query and visualize large datasets using a variety of tools and techniques
- Design and build Tableau dashboards for reporting.

Requirements:
Strong Software Development and coding experience (3+ years of coding in Python)
- 2+ years of experience in predictive modeling (Software engineering BS with data science relevant industrial experience can be considered)
- 1+ years of experience with AWS (SageMaker, EMR, S3, EC2)
- Experience with Spark, Hadoop, MapReduce
- Proficient in SQL (AWS Redshift, Athena)
- Proven and demonstrable experience with at least three of the following: logistic regression, decision trees, non-linear regression, neural networks, random forests, gradient boosted trees, support vector machines, linear/non-linear optimization
- Experience analyzing large data sets and applying data-cleaning techniques alongside statistical analyses, to understand the structures and stories within data sets
- Meet road map deliveries at high quality and on time in an agile environment
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative degree such as computer science, math, statistics, biostatistics, physics, or Operations Research.
