Ruby Developer (AWS), E-commerce Solutions (offline)

About the vacancy

Our client is an e-commerce company that operates in the Japanese, Taiwan, and Hong-Kong markets. Their business infrastructure consists of a marketplace and several brand-oriented websites.

The technology stack is Ruby, React, React Native, and AWS.

Development work is spread between three major areas:

• Support of current applications

• Enhancements and feature development

• Support of marketing campaigns

The team follows the Scrum process and requires tight collaboration with the in-house product and development teams located in Japan.

The ability to work during Japan business hours is an advantage.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Must have
- 3+ years of Ruby development experience
- Solid experience working with AWS
- Experience of integration with 3rd party systems and services
- Experience in deploying Rails applications
- Experience working with relational databases
- Spoken English

Would be a plus
- Experience with React will be an advantage
