Senior Python Engineer (migrate infrastructure to AWS) Offline

As a Senior Python Engineer, you will live on the front lines of the products we create, and build features used by millions of people every day.

The customer has one of the biggest Cassandra and Elastic set up fully covered by automation (clusters creation, backup, etc) on python and has ambitious plans to enhance this automation.

Experience in Elastic Search/Cassandra(or no-SQL DB) Migration to AWS (other clouds) is a big plus as well as the client initiated a mega-project to migrate infrastructure to AWS.

Responsibilities

- Contribute to backend development and help to increase the strength of the non-SQL DB division and deploy, maintain and troubleshoot services like Cassandra or Elastic Search.

- Write, test, and release elegant software systems that are robust and scalable production ready using the latest technologies

- Work closely with product and engineering leadership to spec out, design, and implement solutions for our stakeholders.

- Analyze and estimate implementation efforts.

- Implement, reviewed, supported, and debug required content.

- Setup and maintenance of large (~10 PB) data systems.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of software engineering experience in Python

- Knowledge of some NoSQL DBs, DB Development

- Experience with distributed systems design or initial infrastructure deployment/DevOps experience

- Good communication skills, ability to drive architecture and requirements discussions

- Good spoken and written English level

Nice to have:

- AWS DynamoDB

- Amazon Web Services

- Apache Elastic Search or(/and) Cassandra DB

- Apache Kafka
